Quite a year

Those of you who have visited my website in the past year realize that I have not been keeping up with it too well. Many of you know why, but I am finally able to talk about it now for those of you who don’t.
In October of 2023, I lost my youngest son Zane to a very fast moving form of cancer. He was a constant inspiration to all of us as well as a musician and actor and incredibly smart student of science. When I took over as the Waffleman in 2015, it was his idea to Rebrand everything as superheroes: Waffleman, Batterboy, Sir Sausage or Sir Syrup.
I miss him everyday and think of him often when I’m out working as the Waffleman. You continues to inspire me and all of us who knew him.
Because of this and because of the other work that I do I would like to give you some pointers for booking me:
First of all, I generally tend to book out these days about 2 months in advance. The sooner you can get on my schedule the better off you are and the more likely you are to get the date that you want. If you want me to come out in say a week, you can certainly try but keep in mind that I have other schedules I need to work around.
If I don’t get back to you within 48 to 72 hours after sending a booking email pleaseĀ feel free to “nudge,” me with another email. You would be surprised how often my email tends to “stack” emails or filter them to my junk folder.
Also, when you do secure a booking from me please send me an email to confirm so that I can send an email back and confirm with you. Make sure you contact me the week of the event to make sure that we have all of our instructions straight! A telephone call is a great way to get information, but it does not secure a booking because I need something in writing.
I will endeavor to keep my website more up to date, and please keep Zane and the Waffleman in your thoughts!
The Light at the end of the tunnel
Hello to all of my waffle fans!
I am excited to announce a new look to my website which includes a new online store so that you can purchase the same Golden Malted products that I use to make my waffles (along with the secret instructions on how to make them at home just like I do) as well as syrups and other products to come! They make great gifts! If you need many, please contact me about a case purchase at a discounted price (6-8 bags per case!) If you live in Lincoln NE, message me directly through email (wafflemanbill@gmail.com) or Messenger, and I will deliver or meet you personally rather than buying through the website. I offer cash discounts for those who can order that way.
It has been a difficult year for all of us, and I’m sure we are all craving a return to normal when we can get together and fundraise again for schools, churches and other needy groups. As you prepare for the holidays, please think of those who are struggling and do what you can for them. The “pay it forward” tab idea for local bars is one of the greatest ideas ever!
Take care of each other and watch out for the Waffleman trailer to roll out again in the spring. I will update my Facebook and website with the schedule once that happens. If you want to book me for your company or event in the meantime, please do!
Take care and mask up!
The Waffleman
